Carbide is almost as hard as diamond.  That means they keep their sharp edges for many years.  The coarse and very coarse types are very aggressive and require strong finger control or a slender drill handpiece.  They work well wet and dry. They create less heat and coarser particles and less fine dust.  Please choose the shape of the bur to give you the 3 digit bur type number.  Then write down the coarseness letter, followed by the size of the bur head. E.G 429X060.  The size of this bur head has a diameter of 6mm.

Carbide burs only work in right hand (clockwise) rotation.
